We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier to join our internationally renowned 5-star hospitality brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional wine experience, curating a world-class wine program, and elevating guest satisfaction through personalized and memorable service.
The ideal Sommelier combines refined professionalism with a warm, engaging approach, possesses extensive knowledge of wines and food pairings, and acts as a true brand ambassador in every guest interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Curate, develop, and continuously update the wine list in collaboration with F&B Management;
* Manage wine inventory, stock control, and supervise purchasing in line with budgetary and brand standards;
* Provide expert, personalized wine recommendations and food pairings to enhance the guest experience;
* Ensure optimal organization, condition, and presentation of the wine cellar;
* Engage with guests, sharing wine knowledge and storytelling to elevate the dining journey;
* Train and mentor service staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and brand service standards;
* Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
Requirements:
* Recognized Sommelier certification or a degree in Hospitality Management;
* Proven experience as a Sommelier in 5-star hotels, luxury resorts, or fine-dining restaurants;
* Extensive knowledge of international wines and key wine-producing regions;
* Strong familiarity with local vineyards and premium producers;
* Solid understanding of the winemaking process;
* Good communication and presentation skills in English;
* Good communication skills in Italian;
* A refined service mindset, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.
