Job Purpose
Manage, develop, and direct the sales force to achieve regional sales and profit goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage and develop sales leaders and professionals.
- Manage sales and profitability through developing existing accounts (self and sales team).
- Maximize sales through prospecting, securing and developing new accounts (self and sales team).
- Oversee all activities related to the commercial management of the region
- Maintain customer relationships.
- Model the Berlin Values and serve as a champion for The Berlin Culture as defined in the employer and employee portions of the T-Chart.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Professionally fluent in Italian and English
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of successful and progressive sales leadership experience in a business-to-business environment involving complex, relationship-based transactions.
- Quantifiable record of success, sales force development, goal orientation, and achievement. Train and develop new sales reps in consultative sales and assure existing sales reps to annually grow and maximize sales in both new accounts and existing accounts.
- Quantifiable record of success building a prospecting culture and driving new account growth.
- Exceptional business and financial acumen; demonstrates experience developing subject matter expertise in a new business; able to synthesize complex selection of products, services, and supply options to positively impact customers’ net income.
- Strategic thinker, able focus on long-term strategic improvements while executing short-term goals.
- Demonstrated success building winning teams, developing leadership talent, and creating/sustaining a high-performance culture.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict management skills; can influence without authority and partner across functions.
- Serve as a coach to the sales organization, driving performance and capability building
- Excellent problem solving, decision making, and analytical skills.
- Is flexible; seeks out opportunities for continuous improvement and new ways of working.
- Operates with a high sense of urgency; demonstrates strong time management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up.
- Technologically savvy.
