Leroy Merlin recently launched its Marketplace. It is an ambitious plan to transform the entire business and become the world's leading habitat platform. The Marketplace will help expand product and service offerings, enhance the customer experience, strengthen market positioning, and create a key source of revenue.

In this context, the Marketplace team is looking for a New Account Manager to support its growth. The position will be based in our headquarters in Milan.

As a New Account Manager, your mission will be to drive the growth of Leroy Merlin’s Marketplace by identifying strategic opportunities, developing new partnerships, and enabling merchants to thrive within our ecosystem.

You will play a key role in the expansion and performance of the Marketplace by :

* Mapping and unlocking market opportunities through deep understanding of category trends, sales forecasting, key performance metrics, and customer experience insights.
* Identifying and qualifying top e-commerce players in the Italian market to generate new business leads in your assigned product category.
* Developing and managing a pipeline of prospective merchants, leading negotiations, and onboarding them to the Marketplace platform.
* Supporting sellers’ success by optimizing their integration journey and advising them on best practices to scale their business both in Italy and across other European platforms.
* Collaborating with international teams within the Adeo Group to build shared strategies, leverage global synergies, and align on Marketplace goals.
* Coordinating cross-functional initiatives, working closely with Sales, IT, Retail, Finance, and Store teams to deliver impactful projects under tight deadlines.

This role offers a unique opportunity to support the development of small and medium-sized businesses, lead growth initiatives, and build in-depth knowledge of e-commerce.

Main tasks include market prospecting to generate leads, negotiating with sellers, and supporting their growth and long-term success on the Marketplace.

You will have a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to lead and influence a wide range of international projects.

Must have:

* Degree in economics, engineering, or a related field.
* 3 years of experience in consulting, e-commerce, and/or retail/consumer goods.
* Excellent knowledge of Italian and English.
* Highly organized and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
* Strong commercial and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Confident in external pitching/presenting and experienced in negotiations.
* Self-starter with a hands-on approach, as well as creativity, determination, and a results-driven, business-oriented mindset.

Nice to have:

* Experience building relationships and driving growth with business partners.
* Knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA.
