Position OverviewWe're looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Product Manager - Lighting to lead the vision, development, and launch of key product lines. This role requires a strong mix of technical understanding, customer focus, and cross‐functional collaboration—especially when it comes to managing product documentation and working closely with the marketing team to deliver exceptional product launches. This role will report to Claypaky Product Portfolio Manager.Key Responsibilities
Own the full product lifecycle—from concept and development through launch and end‐of‐life—for assigned lighting productsDefine the product vision, roadmap, and strategy aligned with business objectives and market needsConduct market and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer pain pointsCreate, manage, and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including specifications, data sheets, manuals, and training materialsWork closely with the marketing team to coordinate go‐to‐market strategies, ensuring timely, well‐branded, and effective product launchesPartner with engineering, sales, and operations to bring products to market on schedule and within budgetCollect customer and stakeholder feedback to inform ongoing product improvements and updatesSupport internal teams with product knowledge and documentation for sales training and customer supportMonitor and report on product performance and market feedback post‐launch
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Industrial Design, or a related field (MBA a plus)6+ years of product management experience, ideally within lighting, electronics, or a related fieldSolid understanding of lighting technologies (LED, controls, smart lighting protocols such as DALI, Zigbee, Bluetooth Mesh, DMX, ARTNET, etc.)Strong experience developing and managing product documentation to support both internal and external stakeholdersProven track record of successful product launches in collaboration with marketing and cross‐functional teamsExcellent organizational, communication, and problem‐solving skillsProficiency with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similarKnowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plusWillingness and ability to travel internationally up to 20% for partner meetings, customer visits, and key industry events
