About The Role
As a Senior Commercial Buyer, you will be part of the Strategic Procurement Italy team, driving commercial performance across pharmacy-related assortments such as OTC, supplements, and cosmetics. You will lead supplier negotiations, optimize commercial conditions, and build strong partnerships, contributing to the growth of the Italian market in close collaboration with international procurement teams.
Responsibilities
* Drive supplier contribution improvements, including end-of-year agreements and commercial contributions;
* Optimize rebates on invoices and maximize payment terms;
* Negotiate and manage promotional plans with suppliers to support commercial performance;
* Independently lead annual supplier negotiations as well as in-year renegotiations after the onboarding phase;
* Manage a broad supplier portfolio and substantial purchasing volumes;
* Oversee purchasing activities across multiple product categories.
Qualifications
* Experience in buying and supplier negotiations, ideally in a wholesale environment;
* Strong negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills;
* At least 2 years of experience in strategic purchasing, negotiation, or category management;
* Proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment;
* Knowledge of the pharmaceutical market or pharma retail is a plus;
* Fluent in English;
* University degree preferred;
