We are currently recruiting for an International Sales Manager to join a global fast moving consumer goods company within the Beauty division, based at their headquarters in Milan.


Our client are a global, family owned organisation with more than 75 years of heritage. With over 10,000 employees across international offices, production facilities and R&D laboratories, the company manages a diverse portfolio of well known brands across beauty, personal care and household categories. Their products are distributed globally and recognised for combining quality, innovation and strong consumer appeal. Within their Beauty division, the company develops and distributes established cosmetic and personal care brands that enhance the everyday routines of millions of consumers. The team is committed to delivering high quality beauty solutions both in Italy and internationally, with a strong focus on innovation, brand development and market expansion.


The International Sales Area Manager will be responsible for managing strategic relationships with international distributors and key retail partners across selected European markets, with a primary focus on France, DACH and Benelux. Reporting directly to the International Business Development Director, this role will focus on driving sales growth, managing commercial agreements and ensuring strong execution across local markets.


The role combines strategic commercial planning with hands on account management, including monitoring partner performance, analysing sales and marketing indicators and identifying opportunities to expand market presence while protecting profitability.


Candidates with experience managing international markets are encouraged to apply, even if their direct experience in the focus regions varies.


Responsibilities

* Manage and develop relationships with distributors and direct retail partners across assigned international markets.
* Oversee company ex-works sales and monitor local partner performance to ensure revenue targets are achieved.
* Develop and implement annual client plans aligned with sales and margin objectives.
* Monitor business performance using commercial, marketing and financial KPIs to guide strategic decisions.
* Prepare monthly sales forecasts by client to track progress and support target achievement.
* Coordinate and oversee point of sale initiatives to ensure strong in store execution and brand visibility.
* Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities to increase sales volumes while maintaining strong margins.
* Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of company strategies.
* Travel regularly within assigned markets to meet partners, assess retail distribution and evaluate brand presence in store.
* Monitor competitor activity and provide insights on key market developments.
* Represent the company at relevant international trade shows and industry events.


Requirements

* Degree in Economics, Marketing or a related field.
* Experience within international sales or trade marketing within the beauty or FMCG sector.
* Experience managing international accounts and working with distributors or retail partners.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop client plans and monitor commercial performance.
* Good understanding of financial and commercial KPIs linked to account management.
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Fluent in Italian and English.
* Experience managing European markets such as France, DACH or Benelux is advantageous but not essential.
