Position: Digital Product Manager – EV Charging Solutions
Location: Turin/Milan Hybrid
MISSION:
The mission of a Digital Product Manager is to lead the development and management of digital products by defining and communicating a clear product vision and strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, gathering and prioritizing digital product requirements, overseeing the product development lifecycle, monitoring product performance, and driving continuous improvement based on customer feedback and market trends.
In full collaboration with customer team and other departments (R&D, Sales, Custmer Experience, PMO, FIN), the Digital Product Manager will lead the product definition, the business case, and the partnership definition considering customer requirements.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of digital platforms related to Charging Points Management Systems (CPMS) and mobile applications, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with both the technical and business goals of the company. This role combines deep knowledge of the EV charging ecosystem with a focus on product profitability, market growth, and digital technologies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define Customer Value Proposition and Product Line-Up : Define a compelling customer value proposition that differentiates the product from competitors. Develop a comprehensive product line-up of Digital Products that meets customer needs and aligns with market demands.
Customer Experience & Mobile App Integration: Drive the design and development of an exceptional customer experience within the mobile applications, optimizing features and use customer insights and feedback to continuously improve the usability, ensuring a high adoption rate and strong customer retention.
Detailed Product Requirements for Digital : Collaborate with engineering, digital factory and development teams to define detailed product requirements. This involves specifying (USPs) and ensuring alignment with customer expectations and market trends. Collaborate with engineering and UI/UX teams to ensure product quality and scalability while balancing business goals, such as time-to-market
Build and Optimize the Business Case : Develop a robust business case for the project, including cost estimates, revenue projections, and ROI analysis. Continuously optimize the business case by refining assumptions, assessing risks, and exploring potential opportunities for cost savings or revenue generation.
Compare Possible Scenarios : Evaluate various scenarios, including different product configurations, pricing strategies, and economic models, to inform decision-making at each stage of the project. Conduct thorough analysis to understand the potential impact of each scenario on project outcomes and business objectives.
Define Collaboration Framework with Partner : Establish a clear collaboration framework with the partner company at each step of the project. This includes defining roles and responsibilities, communication protocols, decision-making processes, and timelines. Ensure alignment between both parties and negotiate and finalize agreements as needed to facilitate smooth collaboration.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Experience in Digital Product Management : The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in product management, demonstrating expertise in various aspects such as product development, market research, competitive analysis, and product lifecycle management. This includes experience in defining product strategies, gathering and prioritizing requirements, overseeing product launches, and driving product success through effective cross-functional collaboration.
Experience in EVSE Charging Solutions : The candidate should possess strong skills on EV Charging Technology, understanding electric vehicle charging systems, including different charging standards and regulatory requirements with knowledge of energy management principles to optimize charging operations. Will have familiarity with charging protocols: Awareness of industry-standard communication protocols. Moreover, familiarity with software systems and connectivity technologies used in EV charging, such as mobile apps, understanding risk related to cybersecurity and IoT integration.
Preferred knowledge of smart grid technologies and their integration with EV charging infrastructure.
Capability to Build and Optimize a Business Case : The candidate should have the capability to build and optimize a business case for the project, which involves conducting thorough market analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment. This includes identifying key drivers of value, assessing revenue potential, estimating costs and investments, and evaluating ROI. Additionally, the candidate should be skilled in identifying opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation to ensure the viability and profitability of the project.
