Experteer Overview As a Business Development Manager, you identify and shape early commercial opportunities to build a strong, high-quality pipeline for Fluence. You will collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and Growth teams to target Italy, delivering tailored proposals and guiding prospects from first contact to handoff to Account Management. You will leverage Fluence differentiators to influence project specs and pricing, helping Fluence win in a competitive energy storage market. This role offers impact through strategic market development and cross-functional collaboration.
Retribuzione / Benefits Collaborate with Sales Directors, Marketing, and Growth to implement the business development strategy
Prioritize markets, segment customers, and design marketing campaigns for Italy
Lead outbound and manage inbound lead conversion to generate high-quality leads
Build strong early-stage relationships with potential clients and key stakeholders
Deliver tailored introductory and deep-dive presentations to position Fluence effectively
Qualify prospects using predefined criteria and conduct discovery calls
Maintain accurate Salesforce records and manage pipeline
Collaborate with regional Account Managers to ensure smooth lead handoff
Develop opportunities by shaping proposals, delivering indicative pricing, and advancing deal strategy
Represent Fluence at industry events to raise brand visibility
Identify new revenue opportunities and monitor market dynamics
Responsabilità Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management in Italian market
Strong understanding of energy industry and competitive landscape
Proven ability to build and maintain new customer relationships and influence early sales stages
Strategic and proactive mindset
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Highly organized, self-motivated, proactive in generating and converting leads
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
Fluent in Italian and English
Entrepreneurial drive and proactive ownership attitude
