Area Sales Manager – Payments / EPOS

Boston Link is currently partnering with a
fast-growing fintech company
that is expanding into the Italian market and looking to hire an
Area Sales Manager based in Bologna. This role will focus on
merchant acquisition and field sales, promoting payment solutions and digital business accounts to SMEs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping establish the company’s presence in the Bologna area and supporting the development of a local sales network.
This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone currently working in
merchant services, POS or fintech field sales, who enjoys a hands-on commercial environment and would like to
be part of launching and growing a new market from the ground up .
Responsibilities • Identify and engage
small and medium-sized businesses across Bologna, promoting payment and EPOS solutions • Conduct
face-to-face meetings, product demonstrations and onboarding support
for new merchants • Build and manage a
strong sales pipeline using CRM tools • Develop relationships with local business owners across retail, hospitality and service sectors • Help establish and grow the company’s
commercial presence in Bologna • Support the recruitment and mentoring of
field sales agents
as the team expands • Monitor local market developments and competitor activity • Represent the company at
local networking events and business meetups
Requirements • Proven
B2B sales experience within fintech, payments, POS or merchant services • Strong
field sales background, engaging directly with local businesses • Experience managing or mentoring
sales agents
is considered a strong advantage • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a
market-building environment • Strong commercial and relationship-building skills • Good knowledge of the
Bologna business environment • Fluent
Italian
and good
English
communication skills • Familiarity with
CRM tools and digital sales platforms • Driving licence and willingness to work in a
field-based role
