Senior Sales Manager - Italy (Remote) — This role will report to the Sales Director and will manage a team of Territory Account Managers. You will be responsible for leading the execution of Illumina’s commercial strategies, ensuring budgeted annual sales and profit objectives are met within designated territories and for the district overall. To be successful in this role you will have a life sciences background, experience selling technology, medical devices, capex, and be familiar with public tenders and a clinical environment. You will be a dynamic sales leader who has a structured approach, sales and people management experience, sales force experience as well as accurate forecasting abilities. You will manage teams of highly successful Territory Account Managers who have large quotas to fill in Italy, one of Europe’s fastest growing regions. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement and monitor the district business plan to meet assigned revenue and strategic objectives. Direct, support and motivate the district sales team to meet targets and objectives. Establish territory quotas and achieve the quarterly and annual sales and profit plan as assigned. Forecast, monitor, and control selling and other expenses for the district within assigned budgets. Forecast customer demand (product quantities and dollars, orders, shipments) and track progress. Ensure sales staff achieves forecasts, follows company policies, and provide timely development plans to address under performance. Ensure Illumina’s commitment to customer satisfaction is delivered and continuously improved. Talent acquisition, talent development, and performance management. Preferred Background Significant sales experience in the Life Science industry. Sales management experience in the Life Science industry. Ability to build relationships at every level in the organization. Strong communication and influence skills, both oral and written. Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related subject area.
