Silk is a pan-Asian casual dining venue with a growing presence, currently operating 5 restaurants across Croatia (Split, Hvar, Korcula, Dubrovnik and Zagreb). The brand focuses on delivering freshly prepared pan-Asian fare, from Thai curries and Pad Thai to Udon, Kimchi fried rice, dim sums, sushi rolls, tempura, and seasonal soups.

* Menu Planning and Development
Lead the creation of innovative and exciting new dishes, ensuring each menu reflects the brand's dedication to high-quality pan-Asian cuisine.
* Kitchen Operations Management
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely food preparation.
* Team Leadership
Guide, mentor, and inspire team members and kitchen staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performance environment.
* Training and Development
Support and develop junior brigade members, helping them grow in their culinary skills and leadership abilities.
* Hygiene and Safety
Ensure all kitchen hygiene standards are met and maintained, and manage all relevant paperwork.
* Costing and Profit Margins
Demonstrate exceptional skills in costing, budgeting, and managing profit margins to ensure the business remains financially healthy.
* Dish Presentation
Ensure outstanding food presentation in line with Silk's commitment to an elevated dining experience.
* Collaboration with Senior Management
Liaise with senior management to develop new dishes, marketing initiatives, and strategies for business growth.
* Rota and Scheduling
Take responsibility for creating and managing the kitchen rota, ensuring all sections are properly staffed at all times.
At least 5 years of experience in similar senior kitchen roles. Expertise in pan-Asian cuisine, with an in-depth understanding of the flavors, techniques, and seasonal products associated with Asian cuisine.

with a keen eye for plating and visual appeal and demonstrate proficiency in traditional and modern culinary techniques.
* Creative and innovative
with the ability to create new and exciting dishes that align with the brand’s ethos.
* Leadership and mentoring skills
Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a diverse kitchen team. Must be a true mentor who can help junior chefs grow professionally.
* A flexible and adaptable approach
willing to work across all sections of the kitchen and ensure efficiency in high-pressure environments.
Strong communication skills with a

* in dealing with co-workers and subordinates.
A commitment to maintaining high food quality standards at all times, while also demonstrating outstanding business acumen.
* Professional certification
* in the culinary trade or equivalent qualification.
* Required languages
* English proficiency is essential.
