Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and strengthen commercial activity in the Florence region for a large leading global logistics organisation. This role is focused on driving new business, elevating customer acquisition, and contributing to the long-term commercial development of one of Italy's most important regions. It requires a senior freight-forwarding sales professional with a strong hunter mentality and proven ability to make a significant commercial impact.Key Responsibilities Lead new business development across core verticals including Retail, Automotive, Fashion, and Food & Beverage, and others. Proactively identify and secure new clients, focusing on strong outbound commercial engagement.Manage core sales KPIs such as meetings, proposals, pipeline development, new logo acquisition, and gross profit generation from new business.Partner closely with operations and senior leadership to ensure smooth onboarding and service excellence.Support the evolution of the sales function as the Florence region continues to expand, contributing to the identification and development of future sales talent.Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and communication with wider commercial stakeholders. Role Context Florence is a large, strategically important region and requires a senior, highly capable sales leader to drive strong new-business activity. The role offers significant influence in shaping commercial strategy and strengthening the region's overall market presence.Close collaboration with national and regional commercial leadership is expected. Ideal Candidate Profile Extensive experience (typically 20+ years) in freight-forwarding sales and commercial leadership. Strong hunter mentality with a track record of acquiring new business and developing commercial opportunities.Experience working with clients across key sectors such as Retail, Automotive, Fashion, and F& B.Ability to influence, guide, and support sales talent, contributing to a high-performance commercial culture.Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.Based in - or able to operate effectively across - the Florence area .
