The Solution Engineer Manager role requires a sound technical knowledge of all the main technologies and subsystems used to implement IT, Telecom and Security services of the way in which these subsystems are integrated and of the operational scenarios. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liIs responsible for all technical activities: identifying and analyzing the requirements (Contractual and System Requirements phase), defining the architecture, allocating the requirements to the system components, defining the interfaces between components, developing solutions (System Design and Development phases), integrating, verifying, validating and qualifying the system (System Integration and Acceptance phases) /li liIs responsible for the conformity with requirements, quality, performance, Customer satisfaction budget and schedule relevant to Engineering package /li liPlans, controls and coordinates all technical activities /li liProposes the technical solution and the general network architecture /li liOversees configuration management activities and solution integrity with the Configuration Manager /li liProvides support for deployment/installation and site acceptance activities /li liEnsures coordination and communication among the various players in technical activities and a smooth transition of responsibility to "Installation and Commissioning" organization /li liIs the main technical interface for the Customer Counterpart /li liCoordinates with his technical Customer Counterpart according to Contractual requirement /li liParticipates to Program/Project Meetings (internal and external) when scheduled and/or requested /li liCompiles reports concerning his role and responsibilities according to internal reporting procedure /li liDrafts official letters and correspondence to be sent to the Customer /li liCoordinates and controls of the different Vendors and Subcontractors /li liCorrectly applies Quality procedures and HSE procedures and instruction of his team /li liContinually reviews the technical Scope of Work and keeps updated the scope baseline informing constantly the PM and the Contract Manager /li liProposes variation requests to PM for submitting to the Customer /li liProvides support to the Contract Manager in preparing the Claim Files (towards Vendors, Subcontracts and Customer) /li liApproves all the technical documentation to be submitted to the Customer /li liSupports the Purchasing Department in the definition of subcontracts and standard clauses to be inserted in the SubContract Agreement and in the Purchase Orders /li liPlans and conducts the Program/Project reviews in line with Company standard processes /li /ul h3Qualifications and experience /h3 ul liKnowledge of System Engineering discipline and processes /li liProfessional experience in managing Customer and Suppliers relationships /li liCapability of coordinating resources in an international context /li liFluency in Italian and English is mandatory /li liMinimum 5 years proven experience in designing complex integrated Transportation Projects /li liAvailability to travel /li liExperience in design, integration and validation referred to one or more of the below listed systems: ul liCommunication Systems (IP Networking, Network Security, PABX and VoIP, WLAN, TETRA, LTE, Structured Cabling, Public Address Systems, etc.) /li liTramway Signalling Systems /li liVideo Communication Systems (Public Information Displays, Passenger Information Systems, Video Broadcasting Systems, Master Antenna Television, etc.) /li liSecurity Systems (CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Digital Video and Voice recording, Fire Protection Systems, etc.) /li liSCADA and Environmental Control Systems, Building Management and Information Systems /li /ul /li liThe following competencies are appreciated: /li ul liBasic knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information security (Application Firewalling (UTM), Access Control Rules, Packet Inspection and Intruder Detection Systems) /li liVirtualized architectures (HW, Hypervisor and SW architecture) /li /ul /ul pThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
