Markem-Imaje is a trusted world manufacturer of product identification and traceability solutions, offering a full line of reliable and innovative inkjet, thermal transfer, laser, print and apply label systems. Markem-Imaje delivers fully integrated solutions that enable product quality and safety, regulatory and retailer compliance, better product recalls and improved manufacturing processes.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling Markem-Imajes solutions to Italys customers. The role owner is responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle, starting from prospecting and then with new business development, from creation to opportunity management.

What you will do

1. Understand the business strategy of the accounts in relation to their serialization direction with a heavy emphasis on the UniSecure solution
2. Act as the single point within the Target Accounts for positioning and selling Markem-Imajes Serialization Product Tracking solution
3. Develop an annual business plan that will guide and track your progress/success during the year
4. Create and deliver presentations, white papers, communications
5. Conduct regular review sessions and arrange roundtable sessions with assigned target accounts
6. Become a trusted advisor to your Target Accounts and work to influence the direction, focus and strategy in relation to their serialization initiatives
7. Work with Markem-Imaje Product Managers and Directors to determine the required resources and/or product mix to capitalize on value creation opportunities
8. Maintain close communication within customer and Professional Services (PS) to assure uniform understanding of customer expectations relative to operational solutions, timeline, costs and results. Direct operational issues to the correct PS owner
9. Report in agreed intervals to the Sales Director and Senior Management
10. Understand the overall product packaging direction in each of the targeted accounts
11. Establish forecasts and maintain current customer and prospective account records and provide reports on accounts and sales activity through our CRM system
12. Stay updated on companys product and solutions and industry trends

What you need to have

13. Experience in consultative selling of solutions combining products and services enterprise software.
14. Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets
15. Ability to work an extremely fast-paced environment
16. Able to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally environment
17. Superior communicator who is a strong, out-going leader and consensus builder
18. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and negotiating skills
19. Intermediate level of English
