For our client, an important company operatingin the Chemicals sector, we are looking for a AREA MANAGER EMEA – Fine Chemicals.
The Area Manager will be responsible for enlarging the customerbase and strengthening relationships with key active customers in the assignedEMEA areas in order to achieve budget results in terms of revenue and margin.
Reportingto the Global Sales and Marketing Director, this role will manage existingcustomers while driving growth in sales of fine chemicals and specialtychemicals, with a focus on clients in the Food & Beverage industry andPharma industry.
He/She willidentify new applications and new end markets for the company's products,elaborate and propose the annual sales budget to headquarters, and participatein the main fairs and exhibitions to promote business in the selected area. Theposition will also ensure compliance with company reporting requirements,including CRM and forecasting, and will operate in a fast-changing,intercultural environment where sales performance is managed in terms ofrevenue, margin, and related accounting and business development objectives.
Responsibilities
- Achieve growth and hit salestargets by increasing the customer base while managing existing customersin the assigned EMEA areas
- Enlarge the customer base inthe Food & Beverage and Pharma end markets for fine chemicals andspecialty chemicals products
- Seek new applications and newend markets for the company's fine chemicals products
- Strengthen relationships withkey active customers to attain company targets in terms of revenue andmargin
- Participate in the main fairsand exhibitions to promote business in the selected area
- Elaborate and propose toheadquarters the annual sales budget, including revenue and marginobjectives
- Comply with company reportingrequirements (CRM, forecasting, and related sales reporting)
Your Profile
- Extensive work experience inSales Management roles
- Extensive work experience insales and business development of specialty chemicals, preferably in thefollowing industrial sectors: Food & Beverage and Pharma
- Demonstrated experience workingwith clients in the Food & Beverage industry and Pharma industry
- Strong Business Developmentattitude and experience
- Extensive experience managingrevenue and margin in line with accounting and business developmentobjectives
- Strong decision-making attitude
- Flexibility to adapt to afast-changing environment
- Strong interculturalcommunication skills (ability to interact effectively with people fromdifferent cultural backgrounds)
- Ambitious in attaining company targets
- Loyal identification with thecompany values (quality / work ethics / integrity)
- Fluent English language, bothoral and written
- A second European language is aplus
- Availability to travel asrequired (up to 50% of the time)
