Widem Logistics, founded in 1983, is part of an international logistics group specialized in fashion logistics & road, air and sea transport. To help further grow our organization, we are looking for a Business Development Manager for our branch in Bologna Italy.You will mainly be responsible for the local development of the road activities. You will be actively approaching, prospecting and following up with customers, as well as working out commercial rates & tenders where necessary.What does your day look like as a Business Development Manager?You will be responsible for the active sales of the transport services from Italy to almost all of Europe including UK, North Africa & Turkey.You will sell all services of the group but have a specific focus on road transport.You will take initiatives, make new contacts and manage the customer portfolio for which you are responsible. Cold calling, hunting or farming does not scare you but gives you energy!You plan your own agenda and make sure you make a good mix between customer visits and administration.You will work alongside other company business units and identify opportunities for the group and trends in the market.You work independently and report directly to management.Your place of employment will be Calderara di Reno, Italy.Designated training and job requirements:You must have experience in the transport sector, especially European transport market, know the main actors and have a feel for tariffs.You are customer focused, result driven and commercially astute.You will be a hard and motivated worker as well as strong communicator and a real networker.Knowledge of languages: a good knowledge of Italian & English is an absolute must.
