Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Communicate with guests, employees, and/or departments to ensure staff collaboration and guest satisfaction. Answer guest questions regarding wines, create and maintain wine lists, suggest pairings, attend tastings, develop vendor relationships, and manage wine inventory. Conduct staff tastings, oversee wine promotions, and ensure proper storage and inventory management. Complete opening and closing duties, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety standards are met.
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee motivation. Follow safety policies, ensure professional appearance, and maintain confidentiality. Greet guests, anticipate needs, support team goals, and uphold quality standards. Perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects, and adapt to various working environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or G.E.D.
* 2 years related work experience
* 1 year supervisory experience
* Sommelier certification
