About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team. This is a strategic sales position that requires a proven track record in international logistics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and selling into new accounts while establishing and maintaining profitable business relationships with existing customers.
This role involves taking sales ownership for regional or multi-regional companies not currently conducting business with us in the assigned region.
Responsibilities
* Take sales ownership for regional or multi-regional companies not currently conducting business with us.
* Establish long-term business relationships with prospects.
* Develop strategic solutions unique to each company to reduce overall logistics costs.
* Enhance customer relationships throughout their contract to encourage renewal and/or extension.
* Work closely with each region to share knowledge about potential clients.
Requirements
* Minimum of five years of strategic sales experience in LSH logistics.
* Self-starter with a track record of creating and enabling revenue streams.
* Strong relationships with Tier 1 and mid-size LSH suppliers.
* Solid knowledge of international and domestic logistics.
* Experienced in bundling end-to-end services to create solutions.
* Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to effectively network and influence prospects from senior to executive level.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
* High degree of integrity.
* Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel.
* University degree preferred.
