About the role As a Commercial Asset and Contract Manager, you will be responsible for securing income from our wind and solar asset portfolio and contracts, primarily in Italy, with support for assets in Spain and Portugal. You will be part of the Commercial Operations Southern Europe team within Asset Partner & Optimization Renewables, working across nine countries to maximize renewable income streams. Collaboration with colleagues in Essen and across Europe is essential to ensure optimal commercial value. Secure and optimize revenues from Italian assets and contracts; act as backup for Spanish and Portuguese portfolios. Manage existing market access contracts in Italy, collaborate with Back Office, Risk, and Accounting for settlements, and support tendering and negotiations for new contracts. Ensure all commercial requirements for new assets are met, including grid injection and subsidy receipt. Implement assets and contracts into the RWEST IT systems, acting as the local data reference for metering and power prices. Develop and maintain income models (Excel, Tableau) to monitor performance, and collaborate with teams in Essen for optimization and strategy refinement. Monitor regulatory changes and analyze their impact on our portfolio, supporting new business opportunities. Build and maintain relationships within RWE Renewables and the wider RWE Group. Job requirements and experience University degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, or Engineering, with 1-5 years of relevant experience. Basic knowledge of Italian electricity markets; advanced knowledge is a plus. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail. Proactive attitude, adaptable, and willing to challenge the status quo. Proficiency in data management tools (Tableau, Excel, Dremio, Databricks) and quick learner of new IT tools. Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe. Fluency in Italian and English.
