Lutron is seeking a strategic, consultative Sales Account Manager to drive growth in the luxury and high‑end specification market. Based in Milan, this individual contributor role involves influencing complex buying groups, building senior‑level customer relationships, and driving value‑led solutions to achieve ambitious sales goals.
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen and flawless execution with the executive presence required to represent Lutron at the top tier of the luxury residential and specification sector.
Responsibilities
* Deliver overall sales objectives, including targets for strategic product categories.
* Build and maintain strong, senior‑level relationships with key residential channel partners and specifiers, ensuring ongoing engagement and long‑term account growth.
* Act as a trusted advisor to residential accounts by developing strategic business plans focused on expanding adoption of Lutron controls, shading, and lighting solutions.
* Lead strategic account reviews, high‑level sales meetings, and long‑range vision discussions to strengthen partnerships and accelerate growth.
* Collaborate closely with the business unit to support pilot programs, collect actionable market insights, and contribute to initiatives that enhance Lutron’s brand presence.
* (If supporting specification work) Identify and develop new specification‑driven accounts, securing strong mindshare and positioning Lutron as the preferred basis of design.
* Demonstrate alignment with Lutron’s culture and values in all interactions and decision‑making.

* Apply innovative thinking to uncover new opportunities and improve customer engagement.

Qualifications
* Successful B2B channel sales experience within complex, consultative environments, with clear ownership of revenue, strategic product penetration, and long‑term account growth.
* Proven ability to lead executive‑level, cross‑functional, customer‑facing initiatives—from strategic planning and stakeholder alignment to execution and measurable commercial outcomes.
* Experience in designing and executing strategic account plans, positioning integrated, high‑value solutions at senior and C‑level decision points.
* Highly autonomous senior individual contributor, skilled at influencing customers, partners, and internal teams without formal authority.
* Credible and confident engaging executive‑level customers, consistently acting as a trusted advisor rather than a product‑driven salesperson.
* Fluency in both English and Italian.
* Valid Italian driving license.
Highly Preferred Background & Expertise
* Experience in one or more relevant sectors: lighting solutions, residential/building automation, or motorized shading systems.
* Significant exposure to luxury or high‑end market segments, including premium residential projects and architect, designer, or specifier led environments.
* Strong understanding of value‑based, relationship‑driven sales models typical of premium brands, where success is built on trust, technical depth, design integration, and long‑term partnership.
