Our Rail Signalling and Communication systems are used on metro lines across major cities, and 72,000 kms of route, 52,000 trains per day in 16 countries are controlled by our Traffic Management Systems. Together We deployed the first-ever nationwide ticketing system which processes over 50 million ticketing transactions in 100 cities daily. This is the key function of the Segment that ensures satisfactory execution of our customers Projects. The function is focused on minimizing non-quality costs, maximizing customer satisfaction and developing extra opportunities by anticipating and addressing our customer’s needs. It also contributes to our commercial development by developing our sales within and during project execution. Additionally, bid management is at the heart and the start of our business cycle, it defines our commitment to customers, whether and how we earn their trust. Key missions Responsible for all Ground Transportation Systems (GTS) Bids & Projects on a global scale, which encompasses: - Deliver GTS bids and projects, on time, budget, and quality - Contribute to the Orders intake target per the Multi Year Budget, in managing the Segment bids - Support the BL development objectives by securing ‘must-win’ bids and maintaining an outstanding win rate for the Segment - Approve bids according to the MRBOA rules by delegation from GTS - Drive the Bid to Project handover in collaboration with the relevant involved Functions for a seamless transfer - Deliver the annual target revenue through a tight management of the projects revenue plan per the Multi Year Budget - Gather and disseminate best practices and lesson learnt across GTS and monitor performance - Manage relations with Customers and partners in delivering GTS bids and projects, - Continuous improvement plans for Bids and projects, involving contributors beyond own team (engineering, operations, industry, etc) - Manage and organize B&P team worldwide, with a special attention to skills development, coaching, performance management, and world class hiring - Organize bid and project reviews and ensure decisions and actions are followed up, in close cooperation with the GBU/ BL and support functions - Drive upselling in running projects in close cooperation with the Legal & Contracts and Sales community - Deploy and enforce Group processes, methods and tools - Implement full adherence to Thales Key value, Code of Ethics, Chorus 2, and HSE rules Key competencies - A thorough knowledge of Bid and Program Management, ideally in an industrial environment - Language: Full command of English, and a second language, ideally Italian or French - Capacity to influence others in a transverse role - A great organizer and priority setter - Enjoys coaching people, to share and transfer his/her know-how; - Resilience under pressure - Capability to engage various stakeholders having different objectives Background and Education - Higher education degree in Engineering and/or in business - At least 15 years professional experience - International exposure, in and outside Europe - An IPMA certification is a plus
