Our client is an international company specializing in the development and manufacturing of differentiated natural ingredients.

Following significant growth in recent years, the company has expanded its presence in key European and international markets. We are currently seeking a Senior Business Development Manager (M/F) to cover Italy.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Sales Director, you are recognized as a sales hunter.


Key Responsibilities

* Identify, capture, and manage new accounts in the European market.
* Provide tailored product recommendations to customers based on your product and service knowledge.
* Develop and define, in coordination with the Global Sales Director, an annual sales strategy and plan for your region.
* Manage distributors and motivate them to visit customers.
* Execute the existing sales growth plan.
* Actively contribute to market trend analysis, competition surveillance, sales and development opportunities identification, store checks, etc., to position our products favorably in the market.
* Support the Sales and Marketing teams at exhibitions and events.
* Monitor sales figures, forecasts, potential projects, and competitors.
* Follow up on existing business and prospect new opportunities to achieve sales objectives.
* Focus on customer needs during visits and presentations.
* Coordinate with the Global Account Manager during visits to global accounts in the area.


About You

You hold a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Nutrition, or Biology, with at least 5 years of experience in a B2B environment involving manufacturers, distributors, and CMOs. Experience in the nutraceutical industry and botanical ingredients is advantageous, as is a background in international commercial development.

You are a proactive sales hunter, eager to travel regularly. You have a proven track record managing long sales cycles for scientifically validated products with therapeutic benefits.

Known for being autonomous, analytical, and flexible, you have a pragmatic mindset. Colleagues describe you as rigorous, resilient under pressure, and an excellent communicator.

You are a native Italian speaker and fluent in English, which is essential given the international scope of the role.


Location

Remote work from Italy or Spain.
