Objectives of this role:
* Overseeing daily operations of the retail store, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
* Leading and motivating retail associates to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
* Monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular stock assessments and coordinating with buying team to maintain optimal stock levels
* Implementing merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and appeal
* Analysing sales data and implementing sales strategies to maximise revenue and profitability
* Ensuring a positive and customer-friendly shopping experience across the store
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the daily smooth operation of the store, including stock management, cleanliness, and store appearance
* Monitor and analyse sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
* Recruitment, management, training and motivate retail staff, providing coaching and support for professional development
* Create & manage weekly staff rosters that align with customer traffic
* Maintaining high-quality customer service and professionally handling any issues
* Overseeing stock levels and conducting regular inventory checks
* Managing the store's budget, expenses, and financial reporting
* Working closely with buying team to best ensure product offer and stock levels best align with customer needs and sales
* Coordinate with the marketing team to execute promotional events and campaigns
* Collaborate with the store’s visual merchandiser to create appealing product displays
* Conduct regular meetings with the retail team to communicate goals, product feedback, expectations and updates
* Managing and executing store events both on and off-site with the wider marketing team
* Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences and competitive landscape to drive innovation
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
* Having at least 3 years of experience as a Retail Manager or a Store Manager
* In-depth knowledge of retail operations and inventory management
* Understanding of sales techniques and customer service best practices in Indonesia
* Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail analytics. – ideally Shopify POS and +
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership in both English and Bahasa
* Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and KPIs
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment
* Multilingual proficiency for effective communication in a diverse consumer market
* Ability to work flexible hours and holiday shifts
Preferred skills and qualifications:
* Certification in Retail Management or related certifications
* Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other retail management software
* Knowledge of e-commerce and online retail trends
