Role overview
The Sales Manager | InsurTech is responsible for the direct execution of business development activities to expand MindEarth’s footprint within insurance companies, reinsurers, and large brokerage firms. The primary focus of this role is the active pursuit and closing of new business opportunities by selling geospatial analytics for risk, exposure, and portfolio intelligence. Tasked with managing the full sales cycle, the ideal candidate will be a results-driven professional dedicated to high-volume outreach, relationship management, and converting leads into long-term partnerships within the insurance ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
* Developing and maintaining commercial relationships within insurance and reinsurance groups and large brokerage firms.
* Selling geospatial risk intelligence solutions targeting but not limited to catastrophic and natural hazard risk (Cat-Nat), real estate and property portfolio analysis, auto insurance and mobility-based risk analysis
* Engaging directly with underwriting, risk, pricing, innovation, and strategy teams to align MindEarth solutions with client-specific pain points.
* Supporting the full lifecycle of the sale, from initial interest through pilots and Proofs of Concept (POCs) to finalized multi-year commercial agreements.
* Structuring and negotiating enterprise-level proposals and long-term contracts to ensure sustainable revenue growth.
* Coordinating closely with internal technical, legal, and compliance teams to ensure all deliverables meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Your Profile
* 4–6 years of proven experience in insurance, insurtech, risk analytics, or consulting sales.
* A solid understanding of core insurance processes, including underwriting, pricing, and reinsurance structures.
* Experience in sales of analytics or data-driven solutions within complex B2B environments.
* Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders and decision-makers to build trust and drive consensus.
* Operating with full professional fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
Preferred Skills
* A deep understanding of the global insurance market and its current technological trends.
* Experience with catastrophe risk models (Cat-Nat), exposure management, or property portfolio analytics.
* Navigating Earth Observation (EO) data or spatial analytics within an insurance context.
* Managing sales cycles within highly regulated environments and addressing the needs of compliance-driven stakeholders.
Geospatial focus
This role involves selling geospatial intelligence solutions based on spatial analytics, mobility
data and Earth Observation. A geospatial background is advantageous, but the key success
factor is the ability to manage complex, consultative B2B sales.
