The Amazon Aviation Security (AvSec) team is seeking an enthusiastic, customer obsessed AvSec Security Manager to provide support and oversight for x-ray screening operations in Mexico. This a new initiative for the transportation supply chain to secure the supply chain for air cargo on passenger aircraft. Responsibilities include supporting the Regional AvSec Manager and ensuring compliance with corporate policies, federal regulations, and standardized processes. The AvSec Manager performs ongoing assessments of operating risks and the development of appropriate mitigation strategies to sustain business operations, existing and future.
Responsibilities
* Support the Regional AvSec Manager and ensure compliance with corporate policies, federal regulations, and standardized processes.
* Perform ongoing assessments of operating risks and develop mitigation strategies to sustain business operations.
* Manage ambiguity through knowledge and experience; allocate resources to meet daily goals.
* Manage processes and 3rd party vendor x-ray screening operators; secure the supply chain for external fulfillment to air.
* Assist with developing the workforce to meet long-term process targets.
* Directly support a team of 3rd party vendors.
* Verify compliance with security procedures and regulatory standards, physical security design standards, and policies.
* Utilize Security Management Systems (SeMS) processes for risk mitigation.
* Develop new and evaluate existing security standards; establish workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms to ensure data-driven, measured, and validated customer outcomes.
* Introduce best practices and demonstrate a bias for action as the operation ramps up.
* Program management; tactical management; audit work queues and SLA adherence.
* Facilitate successful results for customers; document issues and communicate effectively.
* Recommend improvements to tools and procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
* Experience handling confidential information
* English proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
* Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
* Experience with SQL and Excel
