RINA is currently recruiting for a Food Certification Support Staff – DOP / IGP to join its office in Rome or Naples (Italy) within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.
This is a fixed-term position for maternity leave replacement.
Mission
Contribute to the integrity and reliability of PDO / PGI food certification processes by supporting technical management and inspection activities, ensuring compliance with national and EU regulations. The role is key in maintaining high standards of quality and traceability in certified agri-food products, strengthening trust among producers, regulatory bodies, and consumers.
Key Accountabilities
The resource will support the PDO / PGI Manager in managing and controlling certification practices, including:
* Use of digital systems for managing and monitoring certification applications
* Handling of initial certification requests
* Preparation of assignments for inspectors
* Review and validation of certification documentation
* Conducting inspections and audits at DOP / IGP certified companies
Education
High School Diploma / GED or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Food Technology
Qualifications
* Diploma or degree in the agri-food sector (Agriculture, Food Technologies, etc.)
* Technical knowledge of key food certification schemes (PDO / PGI / Organic)
* Experience in certification process management and document control is a plus
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Teamwork with a proactive, flexible, and problem-solving attitude
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
