Summary of Position:
CIEE Florence is looking for a vivacious and meticulously organized, unflappable Program Coordinator to be part of our dynamic team.
The Program Coordinator helps with the planning and execution of the High School Summer Abroad programs and Custom Programs.
In concert with the Program Manager, the person covering this role will coordinate the development and delivery of student services at the Study Center.
This includes:
the coordination and planning of pre-departure and on-site orientation, farewells, program excursions, cultural and social activities in addition to the implementation of CIEE health, safety, and security protocols and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Arrange logistics for the program arrival and departure, including local pick up/transport transfers on arrival and departure days;
Help coordinate student arrival orientation and serve as local contact for participants on site;
Make reservations, as needed, for events, activities, and excursions;
Help administer housing logistics and roommate requests for CIEE participants, including the collection of required documentation for their registration;
Plan and manage all logistics and reservations of the cultural activities, co-curricular activities, and excursions related to the program;
Accompany participants on the above program activities and excursions;
Communicate applicable codes of conduct and consequences of non-compliance;
Participate in the emergency staff-on-duty telephone rotation system;
Ensure implementation of CIEE policies and health, safety, and security practices, including proper reporting;
Address bad behavior, tardiness, and rule violations, in coordination with Program Manager and report issues through online database (Salesforce) where necessary;
Other duties as assigned.

Strong communication skills in Italian and English
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Previous experience working with adolescents is a plus
Commitment to customer service and professionalism
Available for travel on student day trips on weekends and during some evenings
Demonstrated integrity, self-motivation, and a proactive, \"can-do\" attitude
Ability to apply good judgment under pressure and to make reasoned and informed decisions in sensitive situations
