Headquartered in Plymouth, Michigan, outside of Detroit, LINK maintains testing laboratories, manufacturing, and support facilities around the globe: The Proposal Engineer is a technical and commercial role that operates at the intersection of engineering and sales, who is responsible for preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals, including drawings, technical specifications and cost estimates, combining strong engineering expertise with a commercial mindset.The role aims to develop customer-focused test bench proposals aligned with technical requirements, working closely with cross-functional teams and contributing to the company's commercial growth.
Analyse tender documents (RFQ/RFP), technical specifications, and contractual requirements to identify the most suitable technical solutions for the proposal of customised test benches in automotive, aerospace, or structural engineering.Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Sales, and Operations teams to gather technical inputs and define integrated solutions. Attend customer meetings on-site & conference calls.Contract review (before order acceptance).Lead the project kick-off, internal and externalDaily collaboration with the Project Management team to ensure a smooth handover of acquired projects.Ensure adherence to legal and ethical business practices.
