Key Customer Manager

The Key Customer Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term, strategic relationships with key customers to drive sales growth, expand distribution, and maximize market share. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver against company goals through data-driven planning and flawless execution.


Key Responsibilities

* Build strong partnerships with key customer stakeholders, including buyers, store managers, and distributors.
* Deliver sales, distribution, and profitability targets for assigned key accounts by collaborating closely with Retail Execution, Consumer Experience (Marketing), Customer Service & Logistics and Finance.
* Develop and execute annual business plans for key customers aligned with company strategy to drive sales, volume, distribution, and market share growth.
* Analyze performance trends and monitor KPIs to identify opportunities, define corrective actions, and implement plans to improve results.
* Understand customer needs and recommend tailored, commercially sound solutions.
* Conduct regular store visits to assess execution, understand business dynamics, and identify growth opportunities.
* The role requires travel 50% of the time, mainly in southern Italy.


Requirements

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Flexibility to eventually move to other locations in Italy.


Preferred Qualifications

* A minimum of 3/4 years of experience in customer-facing roles. Relevant experience in Trade Marketing is a plus.
* Strong negotiation skills and a customer-oriented, problem-solving mindset in fast-paced, challenging environments.
* Highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated strength in time management, planning, prioritization, and budget management.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ability to learn company-specific tools and systems.
* Languages: Native Italian; fluent English.
* Valid driver’s license required.

Location: Rome, Italy (Bari, Italy could be considered as an option)
