Our vision at Alexa Connections is to build the most trusted AI assistant that helps customers get things done and create moments of joy. We build delightful Communication Experiences for connecting within customers’ households (Announcements, Drop‑In’s), with their community (Video Calling, Phone Number calling, Emailing, Texting, Sharing) and with AI for improved productivity (Calendar/Task extraction). We also build real‑time multi‑modal AI primitives that serve customers across the Amazon portfolio of devices—including Alexa, FireTV, Ring, etc. Generative AI is deeply embedded in our product development life cycle across all experiences and primitives.
Key Responsibilities
As a Principal Product Manager – Technical in Alexa Connections, you will use AI‑native product building skills to accelerate value for our customers. You will strategize and build Alexa communications and real‑time multi‑modal AI experiences, working closely with engineering, science, design, business intelligence, operations, finance and executive teams to bring features to market and develop new business opportunities. You will drive product strategies with industry partners to launch multiple 0‑1 product lines, synthesizing technologies and capabilities into high‑quality, simple products that customers love.
About the Team
Alexa Connections is a highly distributed team across six Amazon‑approved sites. We have industry experts in real‑time communications, computer vision, media processing and consumer‑facing UX. We imbue Amazon’s Leadership Principles, hold each other accountable, and have lots of fun while building a product billions of users love. You will constantly help foster a culture where everyone can do their best work.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with feature delivery and trade‑offs of a product
- Experience owning or driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end‑to‑end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in technical product management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis or process improvement

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Salary Ranges
USA, CA, Sunnyvale: $206,900.00 – $279,900.00 USD annually USA, WA, Seattle: $179,900.00 – $243,400.00 USD annually
