We are hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to join our EMEA Marketing & Business Development team, with a strong focus on growing our OpteonTM portfolio across the HVAC‐R value chain. This role is ideal for a strategic yet hands-on commercial professional who thrives in highly technical markets, enjoys being close to customers, and sees opportunity where others see complexity. You will help shape the expansion of next‐generation, sustainable cooling solutions across Europe - at a moment when the market is undergoing one of its most significant transitions. You get energy from the business development and realizing significant business growth by approaching new potential clients. Operating remotely from Italy, you'll collaborate with key OEMs, end-users, distributors, engineering teams, and industry associations. Expect autonomy, high exposure, and the chance to influence how Chemours advances low‐GWP technologies across priority markets in EMEA. In this role, you will blend market insight, customer engagement, and commercial strategy. This role is most suitable for someone with a strong business development/hunter mindset. Your scope will include Italy and the wider EMEA region, with travel up to 50% of your time. Market insight and Opportunity development Build deep familiarity with regulatory changes, technology shifts, and the value chain across HVAC‐R and thermal management. Identify new partnerships, and commercial opportunities -especially for low‐GWP and energy‐efficient solutions. Establish and maintain strong, trust‐based relationships across technical, commercial, regulatory, R&D, manufacturing and operational functions. Engage senior stakeholders to understand their long‐term strategies and align OpteonTM offerings and other Chemours solutions to their roadmap. Leverage an existing market network and rapidly identify new key stakeholders where needed. Commercial Impact and Market Activation Generate and qualify leads, quantify potential, track conversion, and contribute to sustainable revenue growth. Provide market insights to guide strategic planning, new product introductions, and emerging business models. You are a commercially driven professional with both the technical grasp and the relationship skills to navigate complex industrial environments. 10+ years of sales & business development experience in B2B chemicals, HVAC‐R, food retail, cold storage, or heat pump industries. ~ Fluent in English and Italian; other European languages are an advantage. ~ Ability to travel up to 50% across the wider EMEA region. Experience leading business development initiatives in technical markets. Possess a strong understanding of the HVAC-R industry and an extensive professional network in the space. Strong project management skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365; Salesforce.Com an asset. Strong commitment to safety, ethics, and compliance.
