About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Global Data Scientist to join a high-performing Product & Analytics team comprising Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Product Managers.
In this role, you will provide hands‑on technical leadership and develop production‑grade machine learning solutions that directly impact key business areas including assortment optimization, supply chain performance, promotion effectiveness, and pricing strategy. Your work will influence commercial decisions across thousands of locations worldwide, driving measurable business value and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production‑grade machine learning models and analytical solutions.
* Lead data science initiatives focused on:
* Assortment Optimization
* Supply Chain Analytics
* Promotion Incrementality Measurement
* Pricing & Revenue Optimization
* Yield Management
* Apply advanced statistical techniques and causal inference methodologies to solve complex business problems.
* Partner closely with Product Managers, ML Engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business challenges into scalable data solutions.
* Build robust experimentation frameworks and measurement methodologies to evaluate business impact.
* Develop predictive and prescriptive models that improve operational efficiency, customer value, and profitability.
* Drive best practices in model development, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
* Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the data science function.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
* 6+ years of professional experience in Data Science with a strong track record of delivering business impact.
* Proven experience in one or more of the following domains:
* Supply Chain Analytics
* Revenue Management
* Yield Optimization
* Pricing Analytics
* Commercial Optimization
* Expert‑level proficiency in Python and SQL.
* Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
* Hands‑on experience deploying and managing machine learning models in production environments.
* Deep understanding of causal inference, experimentation, and impact measurement methodologies.
* Experience working with large‑scale datasets and cloud‑based data platforms.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to balance commercial objectives, customer value, and operational constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
* PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Physics, or another quantitative field.
* Experience with modern ML engineering practices, MLOps, model monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
* Exposure to retail, consumer goods, e‑commerce, travel, or related industries.
* Experience working in global, cross‑functional environments.
