Job Description The Business Development Manager will identify, prospect, and sell our products and services to clients in Italy. They will contribute to preparing and executing marketing and sales strategies alongside the CEO and team. They will work closely with the O&M and Projects divisions and the rest of the Business Development team to participate in tenders, prepare offers, and nurture leads from web inquiries, existing networks, and events. Occasional attendance at trade shows and events across Europe to promote our products and services is expected. Responsibilities Contribute to developing growth strategies focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs. Prepare and negotiate sales contracts with clients. Proactively prospect via cold calling and social selling. Respond to web-generated leads, nurturing them to closure. Maintain relationships with existing and new clients for cross-selling and feedback collection. Gather competitive intelligence and perform market analysis as needed. Keep records of sales activities, revenue, invoices, etc., using the company’s CRM. Prepare responses to RFI's, RFP's, and tenders. Engage in customer interactions such as calls, meetings, needs analysis, proposal writing, presentations, negotiations, and contract management. Coordinate with marketing for campaigns and participate in trade shows and conferences. Collaborate with third parties like subcontractors to prepare offers. Report regularly to the CEO. Qualifications Excellent industry knowledge and fluent English skills. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3-4 years of relevant industry experience in business development. Extensive experience in the solar and renewables markets, with a good understanding of customer needs and challenges. Knowledge of sales techniques and marketing principles; training in sales and marketing is a plus. Motivated, proactive, and structured, with the ability to develop targeted research plans. Experience with CRM systems is advantageous. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. High integrity, good time management, and goal-setting abilities.
