Electrical Sales Engineer Opportunity">

We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction in the electrical industry.

This role involves calling on decision-makers, collaborating with customers, conducting product presentations, and establishing strong relationships. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and technical skills, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, power systems, VFD, automation, and controls.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Selling pump equipment with an understanding of mechanics and applications of industrial pumps and systems.
* Prospecting and fieldwork dedication to develop new accounts and maintain relationships with existing customers.
* Maintaining high knowledge levels of products, processes, and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Calls on decision makers in the marketplace who are in a position to specify or purchase OTC products and services.
2. Collaborates with rotating equipment engineers and maintenance professionals to solve problems.
3. Conducts product presentations and demonstrations to increase product knowledge and awareness among current and potential customers.
4. Establishes rapport and participates in joint sales calls with manufacturers.
5. Attends and participates in sales and company meetings as required.
6. Maintains high knowledge levels of products, processes, and industry trends.
7. Entertains customers and vendors, including after hours, to strengthen relationships.
8. Provides start-up service and support when needed.
9. Performs failure analysis on electrical and mechanical equipment and reports findings.
10. Manages equipment performance improvement programs, reporting actions and results in quarterly meetings.
11. Spends 75-100% of time making sales calls in the territory to develop new accounts and maintain relationships with existing customers.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering preferred, with 2-5 years of rotating equipment experience.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM software (Selltis preferred).
* Valid driver's license with a clean record.
* Ability to sell pump equipment with an understanding of mechanics and applications of industrial pumps and systems.
* Self-starter with proactive prospecting and fieldwork dedication.
* Successful professional service sales background.
* Strategic thinker with a vision for territorial growth.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to provide technical solutions.
* Achieves sales and margin targets for OTC Pumps electrical offerings.
* Strong interpersonal skills for developing long-term client relationships.
* Coordination skills with regional resources for customer-centric solutions.
* Disciplined in daily/weekly activity goals per OTC standards.
* Ability to manage budgets and market share targets.
* Target and grow customer base, penetrate territory.
* Masters technical sales, territory management, product knowledge, and prospecting skills.
* Influential customer service skills and relationship building.
* Effective multitasking, prioritization, and time management.
* Energetic, outgoing, friendly demeanor.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Customer-focused approach (internal and external).
* Strong computer skills including MS Office and CRM/Selltis.
* Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
* Understanding of rotating equipment, fabrication, manufacturing, and industry standards (API, ASME).
* Knowledge of electrical systems, power systems, VFD, automation, and controls.
* Prior plant experience desirable.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

1. Work in office and industrial settings as required.
2. Travel via plane and drive for several hours as needed.
3. Communicate via telephone and electronic devices.
4. Walk long distances, climb stairs and ladders at customer sites.
5. Work in various climates, including high temperatures and outdoor environments.
6. Wear PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, and appropriate attire.
