KIWI is looking for a Product Manager to join its international team.
The role
The role will be strategic in defining, developing, and managing the product portfolio, with direct responsibility for innovation, quality, and intellectual property protection, operating in a highly international and cross-functional environment.
Work location: Buje, Croatia, at the company's HQ
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define product vision and strategy aligned with the brand's premium positioning
Analyze market trends, competitive benchmarks, and technological innovations
Develop and manage the product roadmap (devices, accessories, technologies)
Identify innovation opportunities and drive continuous improvement of the portfolio
Product Development
Coordinate product development with OEM/ODM partners and manufacturers in China
Manage the local supply chain team in China to ensure alignment, timelines, and production quality
Oversee product briefs, technical specifications, and functional documentation
Follow prototyping, testing, validation, and technical optimization phases
Ensure compliance with quality standards, development milestones, and technical requirements
Collaborate with internal teams (Supply Chain, Product Compliance, Trade & Marketing, Operations) to ensure design consistency and industrial feasibility
Periodic visits to suppliers in China and EU
Intellectual Property & Patent Management
Work with legal advisors and patent attorneys to define the IP strategy
Identify innovative elements with patent potential during product development
Support the preparation of technical documentation for patent filings
Monitor the patent portfolio (deadlines, international extensions, coverage)
Conduct patent landscape analysis to assess the competitive landscape and infringement risks
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to applicable regulations
Integrate regulatory requirements into product development specifications
Product Lifecycle Management
Monitor quality performance and market feedback
Manage technical updates, product revisions, and phase-outs
Ensure coherence and robustness of the portfolio over the medium-long term
Manage and improve the proprietary product portfolio tracking application, collaborating with internal teams to ensure continuous evolution aligned with operational and business needs
Team Management
Management of the operational product team at HQ
Management of the Product & Product Supply Chain team in China
Candidate Profile
7+ years of experience as a Product Manager in hardware, consumer electronics, vape, or related sectors
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Management with a strong technical background.
Proven experience coordinating production and suppliers in China and Europe
Familiarity with intellectual property protection processes and patent management
Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach
Experience in multi-market contexts and international organizations
Fluent in English and Italian (written and spoken)
