Position : QC Chemical Laboratory Sr. Technician
Eli Lilly Italia is seeking a QC Chemical Laboratory Sr. Technician for the quality control chemical laboratory at the Sesto Fiorentino site. The selected candidate will be involved in analytical and instrumental activities, contributing to the quality and safety of manufacturing processes.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform analytical tests, ensuring compliance with current methodologies and regulations.
* Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of raw materials.
* Carry out instrumental tests and verify chemical-physical characteristics of finished products and stability samples.
* Perform chemical analyses on APIs and excipients.
* Sample and analyze plant fluids.
* Prepare reagents and solutions for analytical tests, adhering to GMP and company SOPs.
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory instrumentation.
* Manage and interpret analytical data using specific software (Empower, SmartLab).
* Manage samples and input data into electronic systems (Darwin LIMS).
The role also involves maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, including HPLC, IR and FTIR spectrophotometers, pH meters, conductometers, centrifuges, and Hopple viscometers. Ensuring compliance with quality standards and collaborating with the HSE team for workplace safety are essential.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Technology (CTF)
* Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, IR and FTIR spectrophotometers, pH meters, conductometers, centrifuges, and Hopple viscometers
* Good command of English language
Willingness to work in morning / afternoon shifts is required.
Initial employment will be under a fixed-term contract.
