Divisional Manager - Legal BD, Marketing & Communications
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Business Development & Marketing Manager to join its Milan office in a standalone role supporting a number of high-profile transactional practices. Working closely with partners and lawyers locally, as well as BD and marketing teams across Europe, the US and Asia, this role offers broad exposure, strategic responsibility and the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the firm's market presence in Italy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering business and client development plans for priority practice areas and target clients, including budget management and cross-selling initiatives.
- Leading pitches, proposals and panel submissions, from strategy and drafting through to coordination and post-submission follow-up.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to partners, providing market insight, client intelligence and strategic support for client meetings and growth initiatives.
- Driving profile-raising activity across directories, awards, thought leadership, sponsorships and integrated marketing and communications campaigns.
- Planning and delivering client-facing and firm events in Milan and across Europe, working closely with central events and marketing teams.
Experience and skills required:
- Significant business development and marketing experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Full professional fluency in Italian and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, commercially minded self-starter with the confidence to operate autonomously and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
