Overview Firenze, Italy (Hybrid) Engineer with professional experience (min. 5 years) in Information Security / Information Technology (IS/IT) security, focusing on designing, developing/configuring and maintaining secure architectures for products and solutions. Responsibilities Leads cybersecurity design for the Hitachi GTS turnkey solutions (Telecommunications, Signalling, SCADA, including HW and SW). Acts as interface with the Customer for Cybersecurity design, risks and mitigations as part of High Level and Detailed Risk Assessments. Target standards include ISA/IEC-62443 and CLC/TS 50701. Analyzes customer needs/requirements and assesses solution architectures and technical choices to translate them into a technical solution aligned with customer needs, budget and Hitachi GTS Product Policy. Seeks optimizations through competitive dialogues with Security Suppliers during procurement. Implements security measures to protect computer systems, networks and information by allocating Cybersecurity Requirements to subsystems. Configures and troubleshoots security infrastructure devices during factory and site testing. Performs cyber risk assessment activities to identify sensitive data, assess vulnerabilities and evaluate risks. Manages the lifecycle from Design to Commissioning of High Level and Detailed Risk Assessments in coordination with the System Engineer Manager (SEM). Suggests relevant documents to deliver to Customer for Cybersecurity discipline. Coordinates with technical Customer counterpart. Provides inputs to project documentation (Design Validation, Solution Orientation Review) as part of the Hitachi GTS review process. Organizes technical meetings and peer reviews with Architects (ARC), SEM and other stakeholders to perform cybersecurity solution assessment and validation. Ensures Cybersecurity Requirements (IEC-62443 Foundational Requirements) are considered by each subsystem. Supports deployment/installation and site acceptance activities. Compiles reports concerning role and responsibilities according to internal reporting procedures. Drafts official letters and correspondence to be sent to the Customer. Assesses variation requests related to Cybersecurity with GPM for Customer submission. Supports the GPM, Contract Manager and Sales in the technical negotiation of change proposals and during the preparation of financial claims. Qualifications and Skills Masters' Degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics, IT). Knowledge of Requirements Management processes and relevant tools (e.g., Polarion). Deep knowledge of System Engineering Principles and relevant tools. Experience in analyzing customer cybersecurity requirements and ensuring all requirements are addressed in product/project designs (ISA/IEC-62443 as primary source). Knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols and network security methodologies. Hands-on experience with security systems (firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti-virus/EDR, authentication, log management, SIEM, content filtering, etc.). Knowledge of risk management processes and countermeasure design for identified security risks. Knowledge of standards, regulations, policies, and ethics related to cybersecurity (NIST, IEC 62443, ISO 2700x, EU NIS2). Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities; IT security principles and methods (firewalls, DMZs, encryption); and network access, identity and access management. Knowledge of various operating systems. Penetration testing and/or vulnerability assessment skills are a benefit. Proven ability to manage/interact with customers and suppliers; ability to coordinate with diverse resources in an international context. Availability to travel. Fluency in Italian and English.
