Job Description
To further develop our Mobility Business and the Engineering & Homologation Business Field, we are looking for a Key Account Manager (Global Customers) who will play a crucial role in establishing, maintaining and expanding long-term relationships with key international customers, driving business growth and positioning TÜV Rheinland as a trusted global partner.
Responsibilities
1. ■Establish, maintain and further develop long-term relationships with key global customers in the Engineering & Homologation Business Field, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
2. ■Develop customer strategies (account plans) and implement them together with the Key Account Team to be formed, in close collaboration with internal departments and internal/external partners.
3. ■Analyze customer requirements, market trends and competitive activities to identify new business opportunities and define tailored customer solutions in line with TÜV Rheinland’s service portfolio.
4. ■Coordinate all internal activities related to the management of key accounts, facilitating communication between technical, sales, delivery and legal functions and ensuring efficient handling of offers and projects.
5. ■Participate in international trade shows, conferences and industry events to represent TÜV Rheinland, promote our Engineering & Homologation services and expand the network of potential clients and partners.
6. ■Prepare regular reports and analyses on key account performance, sales targets and business development activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date maintenance of the CRM system.
Your Profile
7. ■University degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable qualification.
8. ■Several years of professional experience in Key Account Management, ideally in engineering, homologation, automotive, mobility or a related technical field.
9. ■Strong ability to understand and clearly explain complex technical content to different stakeholders and hierarchical levels (from technical experts to senior management/C-level).
10. ■Proven experience working with international customers and cross-cultural teams, with strong intercultural awareness and sensitivity.
11. ■Demonstrated track record in conducting negotiations and closing contracts at international level.
12. ■Fluency in spoken and written in English.
13. ■High willingness to travel internationally.
14. ■Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, strong customer and results orientation, autonomy, proactivity and an aptitude for working in cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
15. ■French and/or German language skills
16. ■Previous experience in testing, inspection, certification or technical consulting services.
17. ■Basic knowledge of vehicle and component homologation processes or international technical regulations.
