BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer – C&I Projects
Position Overview
The BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer (C&I) is responsible for the successful delivery, commissioning, and lifecycle support of Commercial & Industrial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams.
This role takes full ownership of the project from contract handover through installation, commissioning, and after-sales service, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and according to technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Handover & Planning
* Take over BESS projects from the sales and presales teams after contract signing.
* Review technical proposals, system configurations, and commercial scope.
* Develop project execution plans including timelines, resource planning, and site coordination.
* Confirm system design and project requirements with internal teams and customers.
2. Project Delivery & Implementation
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of C&I BESS projects.
* Coordinate with EPC partners, installers, and subcontractors for system installation.
* Ensure project milestones are achieved according to schedule and budget.
* Monitor site work and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Manage equipment logistics, delivery, and installation activities.
* Lead or support BESS commissioning activities, including:
* System functional testing
* EMS / PCS / BMS integration
* Grid connection and verification
* Work with engineering teams to resolve technical issues during commissioning.
* Ensure the system operates according to performance specifications.
* Provide technical support and service coordination after project commissioning.
* Manage maintenance schedules and service activities.
* Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with OEMs or suppliers if needed.
* Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Documentation & Reporting
* Operation and maintenance manuals
* Track project progress and provide regular internal updates.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
* 3–7 years of experience in renewable energy, BESS, solar + storage, or power systems.
* Experience in C&I energy storage or distributed energy projects preferred.
* Understanding of BESS components including:
* Battery systems
* EMS / monitoring systems
* Experience in project delivery or field engineering.
Skills
* Strong project coordination and communication skills
* Problem-solving and troubleshooting capability
* Familiarity with renewable energy systems
* Ability to work with customers, EPCs, and suppliers
* Willingness to travel to project sites when required
Fulfilment & Service Manager / Engineer – BESS Utility
Position Overview
The BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer (Utility Scale) is responsible for the execution and lifecycle support of large-scale battery energy storage projects after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams. The role manages the technical delivery, commissioning, and operational support of utility-scale BESS projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Handover from Sales / Presales
* Take ownership of projects after commercial contract closure.
* Grid requirements
* Performance guarantees
* Align with customers and internal teams on project execution strategy.
2. Project Execution & Delivery
* Manage the full lifecycle delivery of utility-scale BESS projects.
* Coordinate with EPC contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers.
* Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
* Ensure compliance with technical specifications, grid requirements, and safety standards.
* Manage project risks and coordinate issue resolution.
* Oversee commissioning of utility-scale BESS including:
* System energization
* Grid compliance testing
* Performance testing
* Work with grid operators and technical partners to complete system integration.
* Ensure successful handover to operations.
4. Operations Support & Service Management
* Coordinate post-commissioning support and service activities.
* Manage long-term service plans and preventive maintenance.
* Monitor system performance and coordinate troubleshooting if needed.
* Interface with OEM technical teams for system diagnostics.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
* Act as the primary technical contact between:
* Customers
* EPC contractors
* Internal teams
* Ensure smooth communication and alignment across stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or related field.
* 5–10 years experience in utility-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.
* Experience with large-scale BESS, solar + storage, or grid infrastructure preferred.
* Strong understanding of:
* Grid integration
* Power systems
* High-voltage systems
