Your role
The Sales Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and expanding B2B relationships with key brands/clients, driving the commercial growth of Global Blue’s marketing and communication solutions. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, strengthening long-term partnerships, and delivering value-added marketing initiatives that enhance clients’ performance and visibility across Global Blue’s marketing channels.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Business Development: Identify, approach, and acquire new marketing investments from B2B clients among premium, fashion, and luxury brands to promote Global Blue’s marketing and advertising solutions.
2. Account Management: Manage and grow existing client relationships through consultative selling, understanding business needs, and providing tailored proposals that deliver measurable results.
3. Sales Planning: Define and execute sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and maximize client portfolio potential.
4. Proposal & Negotiation: Develop impactful sales proposals, lead marketing commercial negotiations, and ensure profitable agreements aligned with company objectives.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Product, Data, and Marketing Operations) to guarantee effective campaign execution and client satisfaction.
6. Market Insights: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client performance to identify new opportunities for growth.
7. Reporting: Track and report commercial results, pipeline evolution, and client feedback to the Head of Marketing.
8. Cross-country Coordination: Collaborate with Global Blue’s international teams to leverage global best practices and cross-market opportunities.
Background and Education
9. Experience: At least 5 years in B2B sales and account management roles within marketing, media, or customer engagement services. Experience in other sectors can be considered if proven marketing knowledge is demonstrated.
10. Sales Excellence: Proven record of achieving or exceeding commercial targets.
11. Client Orientation: Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships and deliver strategic value.
12. Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities, both in English and Italian.
13. Analytical Thinking: Capacity to interpret client data, campaign KPIs, and market insights to shape persuasive proposals.
14. Collaboration: Proactive team player able to coordinate cross-functional projects.
15. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
16. Industry Background: Experience with premium, fashion, travel retail, or luxury brands is an advantage.
