Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting a Sales Manager for a leading global provider of energy storage systems (BESS) to expand the company’s presence in Italy.
Responsibilities :
* Evaluate the needs of upcoming projects and build a solid pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with business objectives.
* Lead initiatives to expand the company’s presence in the energy storage sector, with a particular focus on Utility Scale projects. Take responsibility for securing contracts and ensuring timely payment collection.
* Track developments in the energy storage market and assess competitor strategies to support pricing optimisation, product innovation, and the introduction of new offerings.
* Foster strong partnerships with strategic clients through regular on-site visits. Understand their evolving needs and coordinate internal resources to provide tailored solutions.
* Work closely with a range of stakeholders, including customers, partners, suppliers, and contractors, to ensure that project milestones are met and delivery schedules are adhered to.
* Act as the face of the company at local project sites, serving as the key liaison for customers and external partners throughout project execution.
Requirements :
* At least 5 years in a sales or business development role, ideally within the energy storage or broader energy industry.
* Solid understanding of battery energy storage systems or power infrastructure is essential. A strong network that includes top-tier customers, EPCs, and IPPs is highly desirable.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships. Must demonstrate accountability, proactive communication, and customer-centric thinking.
* Fluency in Italian (native level) and strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
* Must be open to frequent travel throughout Italy, with up to 50-60% of the role involving on-site presence.
