Job Purpose: The BU Commercial Specialist plays a key role in driving efficiency, digitalization and data transparency across all commercial activities. The role combines operational ownership of core pricing and administrative tasks (RFQs, price lists, business cases) with responsibility for improving commercial processes, automating workflows, and supporting the development of pricing tools and configurators (CPQ). The incumbent collaborates closely with Sales, Commercial Excellence, Product Management, Operations and Finance to enable faster decisions, higher pricing accuracy, and scalable commercial processes.
Operational & Administrative Excellence
Manage RFQ pricing, price updates and maintenance of price lists (PFX)
Support account reviews, contracts and commercial documentation
Prepare business cases and commercial analyses
Pricing Tools, Configurators & Automation
Support development and enhancement of pricing configurators (CPQ)
Align cost drivers with plant functions (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain)
Ensure data quality, consistency and transparency across commercial inputs
Maintain configurator backup processes and document tool changes
Identify automation opportunities using Power BI, AI‑based analytics or workflow solutions
Commercial Efficiency & Projects
Drive efficiency initiatives to improve speed, transparency and standardization
Lead or support projects such as design‑to‑value, spec changes or margin scenarios
Develop repeatable templates, dashboards, and processes for RFQs and tenders
Support account strategy with data insights and profitability analysis

Qualifications/Requirements
Formal Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 plus years of business experience
Proficiency with modern data & productivity tools (Power BI, workflows, automation tools, CPQ/pricing systems); strong ability to work with structured and unstructured datasets
Strong written and spoken English skills
Specific Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical mindset and comfort with large data volumes ("Big Data")
Tool‑ and AI‑affine, eager to work with pricing tools (CPQ) and digital platforms
Hands‑on, structured and self‑managed working style
