Job Position:
If you choose to share your energy with us, you will join the Gas Trading Desk in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, optimise and execute gas trading strategies in key EU countries from day one. To be successful in this role, you will need experience of natural gas markets and a thorough understanding of gas fundamentals, logistics and the wider energy market complex.
We are looking for a new team member who is ambitious, structured, focused and a motivated team player.
To do list (what you will do):
1. Develop and implement profitable trading strategies
2. Work with the algorithmic and systematic trading team
3. Execute trades day ahead and along the curve
4. Identify and research ways to improve existing trading strategies
5. Maximise PL with compliance framework
6. Manage VaR limit assigned by Head of Trading
7. Suggest data analysis to internal analyst team to generate profitable trading strategies
Required experience (also known as hard skills):
8. At least 2 or 4 years’ experience in EU Markets gas trading or cross-commodity trading
9. Proven track record in gas trading
10. Strong business acumen combined with entrepreneurial flair
11. Strong personal interest in financial markets, trading and options
12. Master’s Degree in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Economics and Finance (or scientific disciplines)
13. Good knowledge of the English language
14. Nice to have: IT skills like Python, C#, R, VBA
