Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Team is responsible for the acquisition, design, construction, operation and management of all facilities in the Amazon Delivery Station Network. We are looking for a talented professional to join the JP AMZL LMAM (Last Mile Account Management) team, which supports the capacity building of AMZL Last Mile network via partnership with DSPs (Delivery Service Providers) in Japan. This position is a core management function in DSP AM (Account Management) section responsible for DSP partnership management, capacity building (procurement) for on-going business as well as achieving the long-term strategy of AMZL JP. Specifically, they are responsible for senior-level business communication and development to meet customers' demand. This position requires strong ownership for DSP program, excellent vendor management skills, and strong passion for customer innovation.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead senior level communication, negotiation and business development with large external vendors.
- Identify issue/root cause with limited information and lead communication across functions to build alignment on solution.
- Document and analyze with clear and data-driven statements for internal senior and leadership.
- Communicate with business and supporting teams from operational, financial, and technical points of view.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for managing contract and payment of partners.
- Develop and improve the delivery channel program with deep understanding of complexity and ambiguous internal/external circumstances.
- Lead communication and negotiations with the senior management of large-scale external delivery partners to expand business opportunities for both partners and Amazon.
- Grasp problems and causes within limited information, lead communication with other departments to gain agreement and drive implementation.
- Present analysis results to internal leadership using clear, data-backed narratives.
- Share operational, financial, and technical perspectives with related departments.
- Assume overall responsibility for partner contracts and payments.
- Deeply understand the complex and uncertain internal/external work environment, and develop and improve the delivery channel itself.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of vendor management experience
- Experience delivering complex, data-driven recommendations to senior leaders
- Experience with data analysis and basic Excel skills
- Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of people management and team development experience
- Knowledge of supply chain management concepts – forecasting, planning, sourcing, optimization, and logistics or equivalent
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
- Experience managing large-scale projects from end to end
- Knowledge of and passion for e-commerce
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross-functional teams
- Experience hiring and developing highly effective and diverse teams
