You will be accountable for leading energy storage sales for cross-functional teams. You will have a leading role to ensure we have predictable profitable sales, and project execution. /ppbYou will be reporting to the Area Sales Director. /b /ppAs the Senior Business Development Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities : /pulliLead energy storage sales opportunities from the initial bid to award and contract execution /liliVet customers and opportunities to ensure efficient resource use /liliManage and maintain key account relationships /liliEnsure correct pricing strategies and accurate cost estimations /liliLead stakeholders and project sales team to achieve business unit goals /liliUtilise SOP data as a basis when assessing the correct cost estimations and schedules /liliEnsure tenders and requirements are understood in detail within the project sales team and high-quality offers are prepared /liliEnsure risks are evaluated and mitigated properly /liliEnsure necessary internal reviews are conducted and approvals received /liliEnsure Wärtsilä contracting policies are followed and proper contract terms are achieved /liliLead contract negotiations and prepare winning sales negotiation strategies /liliManage and report the progress of project sales in CRM (Salesforce) accurately /liliEnsure sales are properly transferred to the project execution team /li /ulpbTo be successful in this role, we expect you to have : /b /pulli5 years experience in the utility-scale renewable energy industry, with a strong preference toward candidates with prior battery energy storage experience /liliPromote and never sacrifice safety /liliIs a senior sales leader with a strong track record of leading high-performing cross-functional teams /liliSolution orientated /liliHas a strong track record of negotiating complex sales projects /liliContractual and risk management experience /liliInfluencing and communication skills especially when working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders /liliLead by example and facilitate collaboration across organisations /liliBroad understanding of energy storage business, solutions, and market outlook /liliHas commercial and customer mindset combined with a structural approach /liliOutstanding team player and excellent coaching skills /liliDrive results with planning, change management, and execution skills /liliInspire people to take actions towards goals /liliAppreciate diversity and ability to build psychological safety and inclusion within the organisation /liliReadiness to travel /li /ulpbYour success will be measured by /b /pulliSuccessful project sales with end-to-end profitability /liliSales team engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and customer satisfaction /li /ulpIn this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world.
