Perched over the sea and with a stunning view, the restaurant is one of the key features of the hotel, with outstanding reviews and a Mediterranean offer. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Second Maitre / Sommelier located on Giglio Island. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the dining experience, providing exceptional customer service, and enhancing guests' experience with expert wine recommendations. Responsibilities include supervising dining room staff, organizing wine lists, providing training to the team, and ensuring seamless coordination between the front of house and kitchen. The position also requires upselling food and beverage offerings and maintaining inventory of beverages and supplies. Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to ensure excellent guest interaction and satisfaction Expertise in Food & Beverage services, including knowledge of fine dining and wine pairings Experience in Training dining staff and promoting team development to uphold high service standards xpavfwm Sales skills to effectively upsell food and beverage options to guests A passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Certification in Wine Studies or Sommelier accreditation is highly desirable Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus
