A leading international industrial group operating in the energy infrastructure value chain is seeking a Sales Manager Europe – Transformers to support the growth of its transformer components business across the European market.
The company is a long-established global manufacturer supplying critical components to major OEMs and industrial customers worldwide. The role is aimed at a senior commercial professional capable of leveraging an existing network of contacts within the transformers industry to generate new business and accelerate market expansion.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and expand the European transformers business by leveraging an existing and active network of customers and decision makers within the transformer manufacturing industry
* Generate new opportunities and sales by activating established commercial relationships with OEMs and key players in the transformer market
* Manage the full commercial cycle, from opportunity identification to negotiation and contract closure
* Lead commercial negotiations and prepare technical and economic proposals in collaboration with internal engineering and operations teams
* Support technical and contractual discussions with customers and prospects
* Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with key clients across Europe
* Monitor commercial performance and report regularly to senior management on pipeline, opportunities, and results
* Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, production, quality, logistics) to ensure customer requirements are properly addressed
* Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and customer meetings across Europe
* Contribute to market intelligence and competitor analysis to support strategic business development initiatives
Requirements:
* Solid experience (5+ years) in sales or business development within the transformers industry
* Demonstrated ability to generate business through an existing network of contacts with transformer manufacturers and industry stakeholders
* Proven track record in selling technical components or assemblies for transformer applications
* Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and relationship-management skills
* Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered a plus
* Availability to travel frequently across Europe
* Ability to operate independently while coordinating with international and cross-functional teams
* Familiarity with CRM systems and standard office tools
Location:
* Italy, preferably within reasonable reach of Northern Italy, for periodic alignment with headquarters
* Frequent travel across Europe is required
Offer
* Base salary between €60,000 and €75,000 gross per year, depending on experience
* Performance-based bonus linked to sales results
