The Role
As an Area Manager, you'll be the on-the-ground operations lead in your region. It's all about autonomy and impact: you'll have the freedom to organize your work and make decisions, while relying on the support of a passionate core team. Your mission is to ensure every property is guest-ready and running seamlessly, from coordinating cleanings and maintenance to solving unexpected challenges with confidence.
What you'll do
* Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations for vacation homes in your area. Coordinate cleanings, maintenance, and inspections to ensure every property meets BAYA's standards.
* Logistics & Coordination: Supervise cleanings, repairs, and essential restocking (welcome kits, supplies, light bulbs, etc.). Ensure access systems are in place and every check-in and check-out runs smoothly.
* Quality Control: Inspect properties regularly for cleanliness, safety, and amenities. Guarantee consistency and excellence for every guest experience.
* Problem Solving: Handle unexpected issues- whether it's a repair or a guest request - quickly and professionally.
* Guest Readiness: Ensure properties are always welcoming, with every detail carefully prepared.
* Local Liaison: Use your local expertise to recommend service providers, coordinate with crews, and share insights with the central team and property owners.
What we're looking for
* Vacation Rental Experience: You have managed at least one vacation rental property and understand what it takes to keep guests delighted and properties in top condition.
* Self-Starter: Highly independent, proactive, and reliable. You thrive in a freelance setup with full ownership of your work.
* Local Expert: Strong knowledge of your area in Sardinia, with the ability to navigate logistics and identify reliable local vendors.
* Organized & Detail-Oriented: Skilled at juggling schedules, tasks, and priorities while keeping everything under control.
* Problem Solver: Calm and resourceful when challenges arise.
* Communicator: Clear, professional, and effective in coordinating with teams, owners, and guests. Comfortable using digital tools.
