Product Manager Laboratory Equipment
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a new Product Manager focused entirely on our Laboratory Equipment line. Having a dedicated Product Manager for this critical segment will enable us to consolidate market and competitive intelligence and drive growth more aggressively.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Technology Savvy: Understand and interact with customers, especially in the life science area, and comprehend their workflows.

* Marketing Flair: Collaborate with marketing to develop value propositions.
* Analytical Capabilities: Extract data from market reports, incorporate Voice of Customer (VoC) insights, compile market intelligence, and draw conclusions.
* Data-Driven Approach: Support business proposals with VoC and financial analysis.
* Presentation Skills: Sell products to sales teams, engage with key accounts, and present at webinars.
* Communication: Persuade the organization with well-founded work and rational arguments, generating followership.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Product Manager plays a key role in the innovation process:
* Lead the definition phase: Gather market intelligence and VoC, and develop business plans with R&D for new products.
* In development: Coordinate with R&D, organize beta tests, ensure cost targets are met, and specifications are maintained.
* Launch phase: Develop launch plans with marketing, create training materials, deliver sales training, and coordinate with Operations for product availability.
* Retirement phase: Phase out products when new successors are launched.
Monitor global sales by territory, identify underpenetrated areas, and suggest improvements. Support sales in training events, maintain networks with researchers and key accounts, assist marketing with content and competitive intelligence, and contribute to long-term strategy development for the Laboratory Equipment range.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Ideal attributes and qualifications include:
* Technical/Scientific background, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, biology, microbiology, or cell biology.
* Business experience, such as an MBA or practical experience with commercial responsibilities.
* 3-5 years of relevant industry experience focused on laboratory equipment.
* Experience selling products globally through dealers.
* Previous role as Product Manager or Product Specialist is highly advantageous. Experience in related roles (R&D, Sales, Marketing) interacting with Product Management is also valuable.
